Can you walk me through the log in/registration process? Is there a fee?
The first step is to set up a ‘profile’ by clicking on the Create Account button in the upper right-hand corner (open learning.agrisafe.org in a web browser). Creating an account is free and just requires a name and email address.
After you create an account, go to Courses and click on the Nurse Scholar course you want to join. You will see a “Register” button. Follow the prompts, enter payment and you will be added to the course.
Can I pay for the course in installments?
At this time, we cannot accept installment payments. All fees must be paid prior to starting the course.
What is the difference between agrisafe.org and learning.agrisafe.org?
www.agrisafe.org and learning.agrisafe.org are websites managed by the AgriSafe Network. AgriSafe.org is the primary website for information about AgriSafe and our programs.
learning.agrisafe.org is the location for our learning management system. That address will take you to the location for all of our live and OnDemand training opportunities. You will access the Nurse Scholar course from learning.agrisafe.org.
I am trying to register but it is saying that the course is already in my cart. Where do I go to access the cart?
The cart button is located on the right-hand side of the screen and is the last tab in the dark green box. Once you click on the cart button, you will be able to complete registration from there.
Can I contact the presenters directly?
Yes, contact information is available in the presenter information. All of our presenters welcome your questions and comments. Email is the best way to get in touch with them.
Can I have a copy of the power points used in the webinars?
PDFs of all the course PowerPoints are located in the Handouts tab of the Nurse Scholar course. You can download the pdf files to your device if you’d like to keep a copy.
What if I have a major event (serious illness, etc.) that interferes with completion of the program on time?
If a serious event impacts your ability to complete the course on time, please contact Charlotte Halverson (email@example.com) as soon as possible. We cannot do course refunds but in rare emergency situations, we may be able to work with you so you can successfully complete the program. Extensions can be difficult to arrange, but we will work with you for the best possible outcome.
How often can I re-run the power point/recording?
You will have unlimited access to the course recordings. You can review them as many times as you’d like.
How many times can I take the test in order to pass?
Four attempts to pass will be allowed. If you cannot pass the exam at that time, please contact Charlotte Halverson and we will work through it with you.
Is there a pass/fail rate on the test?
Yes. A passing grade of 70% will be required on the final (summary) exam.
How long does it take to get my CNE credit?
You will need to submit a request for CNE to Northeast Iowa Community College (NICC) - directions for doing this are included in the course. Once you have completed all the course requirements, we’ll notify NICC that you have finished and generally within a week, the CNEs can be processed. Expect about a 2-week window between when you finish the course and when you receive your CNEs.
Will the Board of Nursing in my state accept continuing education credits that are approved by the Iowa Board of Nursing?
It is important that each nurse check with his/her own state Board of Nursing to determine continuing nursing education (CNE) credit. It is recommended that you do this prior to the start of the course. To date, this Nurse Scholar program and the continuing education credits have been approved for all participants.
When do I have to have the course completed?
All components of the course must be completed by November 13, 2020 in order to receive credit.
